Stand-up comedian and actor Bob Saget was found dead in a hotel in Orlando on Sunday, Orange County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement on Sunday. He was 65. The actor’s cause of death was not known, however, authorities confirmed that they found no signs of foul play or drug use in this case.

“Earlier today, deputies were called to the Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes for a call about an unresponsive man in a hotel room. The man was identified as Robert Saget & pronounced deceased on scene. Detectives found no signs of foul play or drug use in this case,” the Orange County Sheriff’s Office said in a tweet.

Saget has been known to play the role of Danny Tanner on the classic American television show ‘Full House’ and his voiceover appearance in Neil Patrick Harris starrer ‘How I Met Your Mother.’ He was also the long-time host of ‘America’s Funniest Home Videos.’

Speaking to Jake Tapper in an interview in July 2021, Saget had said that the track of his career was unexpected.

“‘Full House’ was an accident. I got fired on CBS and was asked to be in ‘Full House,'” he said.

Following his death, Kat Dennings, who played Saget’s daughter is one season of Raising Dad’, tweeted, “Oh god. Bob Saget!!! The loveliest man. I was his TV daughter for one season and he was always so kind and protective. So so sorry for his family.”

Saget is survived by his three children and wife Kelly Rizzo.
