Punjab Kings batsman Chris Gayle collaborated with Indian rapper Emiway Bantai in a music video released on Sunday. The explosive Jamaican opener is seen rapping along with Emiway in the song called ‘India to Jamaica’.

It has been difficult to not associate the Windies cricketers with music or rather entertainment. While CSK’s Dwayne Bravo has been serving the Indian audiences with several songs – including the ‘Champion’ – this time it is his teammate who flaunted some rapping skills, matching beat to beat with Emiway Bantai.

The song that starts with Gayle referring to himself as the ‘Universe Boss’, then featured the cricketer dancing and hopping with Emiway around an indoor pool. Emiway Bantai had released the first look of the song on April 1.

Chris Gayle took to Instagram to share a clip from the video, writing, “Jamaica To India OUT NOW @emiway_bantai.” Bantai is a famous Indian rapper with more than 14 million YouTube subscribers while on the other hand, Gayle follows the likes of fellow West Indian Dwayne Bravo in releasing a music video.

Gayle will be representing the Punjab Kings in the 2021 season of the Indian Premier League. The team will start their campaign against the Rajasthan Royals on April 12 at the Wankhede.
