‘The Gray Man’ is an upcoming American action thriller movie directed by Anthony and Joe Russo. The question of whether the upcoming most expensive movie on Netflix is based on a true story is what makes it interesting.

The action-thriller is a deadly duel between killers as Gentry (Gosling) is hunted across by Lloyd Hansen (Evans). The story is based on the first novel in the best-selling book series by Mark Greaney. The novel falls under three genres, thriller, fiction and suspense. The movie is a “real mano a mano between these two great actors who represent two different versions of the CIA, in what it can be and what it can do”, said Anthony Russo to Deadline.

Although things have been kept hidden regarding ‘The Gray Man’, we can get a substantial amount of input from Mark Greaney’s book. Anthony Russo mentioned to Deadline, “For those who were fans of Captain America: Winter Soldier, this is us moving into that territory in more of a real-world setting. That’s what this movie really means to us.”

Chris Evans will take up the role of an international assassin hunting Gosling. They will be joined by Ana de Armas, Jessica Henwick, Rege-Jean Page, Wagner Moura, Julia Butters, Dhanush, Alfre Woodard and Billy Bob Thornton.

The movie is all set to premiere on Netflix on July 22, 2022, and is ready to hit the cinemas on July 15, 2022.

Joe Russo mentioned to Fandango Erik Davis in a conversation, “I feel like ‘The Gray Man’ is basically everything we learned over the last decade poured into one film”. He added that ‘The Gray Man’ should not be anything less than stellar.
