Joycelyn Savage is reportedly engaged to R Kelly, the disgraced R&B singer who has been jailed on racketeering and sex trafficking charges. She’s 26 years old now and wrote a letter to the judge introducing herself as the 55-year-old’s fiancee and sought leniency in his sentencing. 

Savage was 17 when she met Kelly at a concert, and he would tell her “Baby girl you are going to be the next Aaliyah“, she revealed. 

She soon dropped out of college to go live with Kelly. Her parents, Jonjelyn Savage and Timothy Savage alleged that the R&B singer “brainwashed” her. 

Savage, who recounted her time with Kelly on the paid-membership platform, Patreon, said in 2020 “After these couple of months Robert started giving me commands, and making sure I call him by certain names. Like ‘Master’ or ‘Daddy’ which I didn’t really care for at the time”.

Kelly’s fiancee was born in Atlanta, Georgia on July 22, 1995, which means she’ll turn 27 this month. 

If Kelly serves the entire sentence, he will be out at the age of 85 and with 30 years behind bars, Savage will be the same age Kelly is now, by the time the R&B singer gets out. 

Savage had further shared on Patreon, “If I wasn’t getting paid or pursuing my dream I would’ve went home, but all of that didn’t stop just yet. But It started getting worse by day by day, he would raise his voice at me if I didn’t call him by those two names. If Robert called me I would have to reply with ‘Yes, daddy’ or ‘Please daddy’ he was so controlling.”

Kelly’s 30-year jail sentence is only part of his worries since the singer also faces a trial for child pornography and obstruction of justice in Chicago in August.
