The post-mortem was conducted after the Kolkata Police registered KK’s death as due to unnatural causes. The ‘Zara Sa’ singer had reportedly told his secretary, during the concert, that he was feeling unwell, ABP Ananda reported. Video of him during the concert at the Kolkata’s Nazrul Mancha show him sweating profusely on stage, wiping his face with a towel and also complaining about the air conditioning at the venue.

“The initial report suggested that the singer died because of myocardial infarction. There was no foul play behind his death. Clinical examination also found that the singer was having prolonged cardiac issues,” the officer said, as per PTI.

Police started an investigation to determine the cause of KK’s death. As a part of the probe, officers have spoken to the hotel authorities and scrutinised CCTV footage.
