Megan Thee Stallion won the Grammy Award 2021 in the Best New Artist category.  

The nominees for the Best New Artist were Ingrid Andress, Phoebe Bridgers, Noah Cyrus, Chika, D Smoke, Doja Cat, Kaytranada and Megan Thee Stallion.

Last year, the award went to Billie Eilish, who had also won record of the year, album of the year, song of the year, and best pop vocal album.

This year, Ingrid Andress had one more nomination, for “More Hearts Than Mine” in the Best Country Song category. Phoebe Bridgers’ “Kyoto” was nominated for Best Rock Song and it also landed her in the Best Rock Performance category. D Smoke’s “Black Habits” was nominated for the Best Rap Album. Doja Cat made it in the Record Of The Year nomination with “Say So” competing against Megan Thee Stallion.

The 63rd Annual Grammy Awards was hosted by “The Daily Show” host Trevor Noah. The Grammys were originally scheduled for January 31 but were postponed because of the coronavirus pandemic.
