Minaj, on her official Twitter profile, posted: They want you to get vaccinated for the Met. if I get vaccinated it won’t for the Met. It’ll be once I feel I’ve done enough research. I’m working on that now. In the meantime my loves, be safe.”

However, she later went on to urge people to “wear the mask with 2 strings that grips your head & face. Not that loose one.”

Americans’ refusal to take free, widely available vaccines that shield them from serious illness and death has become an immense challenge for the country to contain coronavirus cases.

Meanwhile, in follow up tweets the 38-year-old Trinidadian rapper cited bizarre instances and reasons to defend why she hadn’t taken the vaccine yet.

“My cousin in Trinidad won’t get the vaccine cuz his friend got it & became impotent. His testicles became swollen. His friend was weeks away from getting married, now the girl called off the wedding. So just pray on it & make sure you’re comfortable with ur decision, not bullied,” Minaj tweeted.

According to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the COVID-19 vaccines are completely safe and there is no medical proof for such complications from the vaccine.

Later, Minaj also disclosed that she had tested positive for COVID-19, without mentioning the time frame when she did so. But she said, “I had the exact same symptoms as ppl with the damn vaccine.”

Meanwhile, replying to a user who complained how they had to take the vaccine as it was mandated in their job, Minaj opined added that “I know babe. A lot of countries won’t let ppl work w/o the vaccine. I’d def recommend they get the vaccine. They have to feed their families.”

However, she went on to say, “I’m sure I’ll b vaccinated as well cuz I have to go on tour, etc.”
