The body of Charles Ingalls, a 25-year-old musician, was found at a Nashville hotel on Friday morning.
Hermitage Precinct detectives responded to the hotel on McGavock Pike around 10:30 a.m. on Friday after receiving information of a man found unconscious in one of the rooms. The responding officers found the body of the musician. However, there was no evidence of trauma to the body.

Police said some of the musician’s friends found him lying unconscious and called 911.
The death of Ingalls, who was an electronic dance musician (EDM), remains unclassified by Metro Police, who are currently investigating the incident. Meanwhile, the Medical Examiner’s Office will perform an autopsy and toxicology testing on Saturday.
Ingalls, who went by the stage name CharlestheFirst, was in Nashville for a show that was scheduled to take place at The Caverns concert hall in Pelham on Saturday night.

Confirming his death, Ingalls’ electronic music band Lab Group wrote on social media, “Amongst many things, Charles was a larger-than-life presence that deeply moved and affected all who knew him. A son, a brother, a friend, a poet and an absolutely brilliant musician. He lived his life with a sense of magic and inspiration that most people only dream of. We promise to honor and cherish you throughout this life and into the next.”

Following his death, several of his fans offered condolences.
“Sending love and light to everyone hurting from this. He was an inspiration. His music will carry on his legacy through all of us,” one person wrote.
“Still in shock.. rest in peace charles thank you for helping me through some of my darkest days. You won’t be forgotten,” another person commented.
“Rip Charles. Legend. Champion. King. You will be missed dearly by everyone your music touched,” wrote another user.
