Neetu Kapoor has devised a charming plan to keep Rishi Kapoor with her for their son Ranbir Kapoor‘s wedding to Alia Bhatt. Neetu flaunted the Mehendi that she got painted on her hands a day after attending Ranbir and Alia’s Mehendi celebration. Her late spouse Rishi’s name was also written on the Mehendi.
On the day of the wedding, Neetu posted a picture of her henna-decorated hands on her Instagram stories. Rishi Kapoor’s name was visible on her index finger in the photo.

Rishi and Neetu Kapoor married in January 1980 and had their first child, Riddhima Kapoor, in September of that year. In September 1982, they welcomed their son Ranbir Kapoor into the world. Rishi Kapoor was reportedly arranging a lavish wedding for Ranbir in December 2020, according to filmmaker Subash Ghai. The actor, however, died of cancer in April 2020.
On the morning of Alia and Ranbir’s Mehendi, Neetu remembered her late spouse fondly. “Fond memories of Baisakhi day (love eyes emoji) as we got engaged 43 years back on 13th April 1979,” she captioned a photo from their engagement day on Instagram.

Neetu finally announced on Wednesday evening that Ranbir and Alia will marry on April 14 at Ranbir’s Bandra house Vastu, after avoiding queries about the wedding for several days. She also complimented her soon-to-be daughter-in-law, stating, “She is unrivalled. God bless them, really.”

Ranbir and Alia began dating in 2017 while working on Ayan Mukerji’s film Brahmastra, which will be released in September of this year. During a May 2018 interview with GQ, Ranbir revealed that he was dating Alia. Later, he revealed that they had planned to marry in 2020, but that the wedding had been postponed owing to the coronavirus epidemic.
