NeNe Leakes’ son Brentt suffered both a heart attack and a stroke while he was in Atlanta earlier this month. The 23-year-old is now on a long road to recovery.

According to TMZ, her son spent several days in the hospital following the incident. His life was saved as he was quickly transported to a local hospital for medical attention. The exact date of his hospitalization is not known.

Brentt has since been released from the hospital and is undergoing rehab at home.

The Real Housewives star has not issued a statement on her son’s condition.

The last post by Brentt on Instagram was a playful video with NeNe that he captioned, “name a better mother son duo I’ll wait,” on Sept. 10.

NeNe’s most recent post on Instagram was on Oct. 3 in which she shared a series of glamorous shots of herself that she captioned, “SWIPE: HER HER HER, SHE SHE SHE, ME.”

Her latest tweet was of her thanking her fans for complimenting her on being a “huge part” of the “Housewives” franchise.

NeNe’s husband and Brentt’s father, Gregg, died last year after a long battle with cancer. Brentt was seen on the Real Housewives of Atlanta when his mother was on the show.

Brentt Leakes is the club owner of the Linnethia Lounge, according to his Instagram bio. The club is advertised as being a live entertainment lounge for people aged 21 years old and above. His bio also says that he is the owner of a mobile hookah company called Who Want Smoke Hookahs.

Brentt shared a message on Instagram encouraging his fans to spend time with their loved ones while his father battled from cancer.

“Spend time with your loved ones every chance you get,” the 22-year-old wrote on a Instagram Story. “Time is so…valuable dog. I can’t express it. I’m learning the hard way watching my dad fight every day… Please go create memories with ya people.”
