American rapper Aaron Carter was found dead Saturday at his home in Lancaster, California, TMZ reported. He was 34 years old.

Multiple sources told the media outlet that he was found in his bathtub. However, no official confirmation has been been released so far. 

Law enforcement sources told TMZ that they received a 911 call Saturday morning, following which homicide detectives were sent to the scene.

Just 3 days before his death, Aaron was pulled over by law enforcement officers in Los Angeles on suspicion of DUI. Authorities had received a call about a driver weaving in traffic and possibly driving under the influence. 

While Aaron was driving an RV, his girlfriend Melanie Martin was driving behind him at the time in a white Range Rover. 

Carter rose to fame as a child star with hits like “I Want Candy” and “That’s How I Beat Shaq.” He has a net worth of $400,000, according to Celebrity Net Worth.

He is also known for being the younger brother of the Backstreet Boys Nick Carter.

Aaron became a teen idol in the late 1990s. He released his self-titled debut album in 1997. At the age nine, he sold a million copies worldwide. His second album Aaron’s Party (Come Get It) (2000) sold three million copies in the US.

He also toured as the opening act of Backstreet Boys.Aaron appeared on Dancing with the Stars, the Broadway musical Seussical, the off-Broadway musical The Fantasticks, and made several one-off performances.
