Indian pop stars Badshah, Aastha Gill and Rico, on Wednesday, released a version of Kamlesh Barot’s ‘Bachpan Ka Pyaar’ featuring internet sensation Sahdev Dirdo. At the time of writing this story, the song, uploaded on YouTube had crossed 50 lakh views and was No 1 on trending.

Sahdev Dirdo, 10, became an overnight session on social media after a video of him singing ‘Bachpan ka Pyar’ went viral. The boy from Chhatisgarh’s Sukma district was seen mispronouncing bachpan (childhood) as ‘baspan’. He has also been felicitated by Chattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel.

Dropping the video on Wednesday, Badshah wrote on Instagram, “#BachpanKaPyaar poora gaana, finally Out Now! Watch it aur batao kaisa laga. ❤️.”
The three-minute video starts with Sahdev trying to charm a girl. He can be seen wearing oversized sunglasses and bringing her chocolates in various attempts to woo her. The popstars – Badshah, Rico and Aastha Gill- can be seen playing mannequins in a shopping mall.
Fans had mixed reactions to the song. While many liked the remix, some criticised it.

A follower wrote, “Are bhaisab mujhe chakkar aa rhe h ????.” Another went on to say, “Bus karo bhai???.”
In an Instagram post shared by Badshah, Sahdev is seen happily watching his music video. As the rapper asks him who is in the video, he says “Badshah aur main.”
The singer captioned the post, “When he met me for the first time, he brought me a gift from his village. Its one of the most precious things i have. I wish you all the best for your future Sahdev. And we will make sure ye bachpan ka pyaar duniya kabhi bhool na paye.”
Vinit Thakkar, Chief Operating Officer at Universal Music India, said the team saw an opportunity to create an adaptation of the hit song and is confident that the audiences will like it.

“We are living in an era where the next hit song or viral sensation could come from anywhere. Badshah spotted this interesting clip and made a fun short video along with Aastha and Rico which went completely viral.
“We all discussed that there was an opportunity to create an interesting adaptation and bring this internet sensation Sahdev to be an integral part of it,” Thakkar said, as per PTI reports.
The new version of the song is composed by Hiten and the lyrics have been penned by Badshah.
