Rapper Coolio reportedly died at 59, at his friend’s house in Los Angeles, following a suspected cardiac arrest. The Grammy Award-winning musician was best known for Gangsta’s Paradise, which came out in 1995 and shot Coolio to fame.

The news of his death shocked fans and those in the music world, with fellow Compton-based rapper Ice Cube commenting, “This is sad news. I witness first hand this man’s grind to the top of the industry. Rest In Peace”. 

One fan commented, “Nah if Coolio is dead my childhood is ruined”.

A fan wondered whether he had been vaccinated, while another commented he was dead from the “jab”. Notably, no official cause of death has been released yet. 

News of the rapper’s death has got his fans mourning, with one commenting, they’d go about it in the “most dramatic” way possible, while another added, “Coolio is easily outpacing the previous dead celebrities on my finely curated timeline.”

An individual admitted to not hearing much of Coolio’s music, but still felt sad to be in a world without the rapper. “I never really listened to his music that much, but it just feels weird to now be living in a world no Coolio. I mean, there’s climate change and human rights being revoked and war, but now Coolio’s dead? We have to do something!”, they wrote on Twitter.

The impact Gangsta’s Paradise had in endearing Coolio to his fans is evident in another tweet which notes “His #GangstasParadise was the soundtrack to my summer of 1995 and my year abroad in Germany!”

While most of the internet is still in disbelief, one individual said “i got in the car and played gangstas paradise earlier today and now coolio is dead. i’m never listening to music again”.

Apart from his musical career, Coolio appeared in some reality shows, and the rapper was divorced with ten children.
