Saira Banu, yesteryear actress and wife of late Dilip Kumar, has been hospitalised after she complained of issues related to blood pressure three days ago, reports ANI.

Cardiologist Dr Nitin Gokhale (his father Dr Shrikant Gokhale was Dilip Kumar and Saira Banu’s family doctor) who is attendingthe actor, told Etimes, “She is fine, she has completely stabilised, and we will be moving her out of the ICU either tonight or tomorrow”.
Dr. Gokhale pointed out that it’s a case of left ventricular failure, which will need an angiography. “It will be cured,” he added.
The angiography will be done in due course, maybe Saira Banu will be discharged and has to be admitted again for the procedure.
“We first need to control her diabetes,” he further said.
The veteran actress recently lost her husband Dilip Kumar. The legendary actor died at the age of 98 due to age-related issues. Saira and Dilip Kumar were married for 54 years and she was with him during his tough days too.

She not only took complete care of him during his bed-ridden days but also kept his fans on social media updated about him.
In the past too, she expressed her love for Dilip Kumar.
“It is out of love and not duress that I look after Dilip saab. I am not looking for praises to be called a devoted wife. Just to touch him and cuddle him is the world’s best thing that’s happening to me. I adore him and he is my breath itself,” she told ET in the past.

The actress, who left her acting career to be a homemaker in 1976, said that she wanted to be Dilip’s wife ever since she was a teenager.
