Shehnaaz Gill’s Punjab movie ‘Honsla Rakh’ is all set to hit the big screens on Friday and ahead of its release, the actor spoke about how much she relates to her character in the movie.

In an interview with Bollywood Bubble, the actor said she is 40% like her role in the film. This led her to speak about love and attachment.

“Jab hum kisiko bhi pyaar karte hai, toh uske saath jo attachment hoti hai, toh woh attachment ke accordingly, maine woh ratio nikali. (When we love someone, the emotional attachment we share with the person, with that attachment, I accordingly calculated the ratio),” she said.

Talking about a mother’s love, she said, “Pyaar jo hai na. Matlab Maa ka jo pyaar hota hai na, woh Maa ko hi pata hai. Aur main Maa wala feel kar sakti hun. Kyunki, meri mummy mujhe kitna pyaar karti hai. (Love is like this. Only a mother will know what a mother’s love is. And I can feel the motherly emotion. Because my mummy loves me that much.)”

This is the first time, the actor opened up about love following the death of her rumoured boyfriend actor Sudharth Shukla, who died of a heart attack on September 2.

Meanwhile, ‘Honsla Rakh‘, starring Shehnaaz Gill, Diljit Dosanjh and Sonam Bajwa, is romantic comedy film shot in Canada. It is directed by Amarjit Singh Saron and marks mark Diljit Dosanjh’s debut as a producer.

Last month, Diljit Thind, the producer of the movie, had told a leading daily that they were waiting for the actor to recover to shoot a song for the film.

“We are waiting for her to recover and heal from the grave loss. We had originally planned to shoot the song on September 15 in London, but that couldn’t happen because of obvious reasons. We will finalise a new date soon and would want Shehnaaz to be a part of it, too, as she is an integral part of the film. I am in touch with her manager and hoping that she will contact us in a few days,” he said.
