The much-anticipated Christmas musical comedy Spirited, starring Will Ferrell, Ryan Reynolds, and Octavia Spencer, has received a brand-new teaser trailer from Apple Original Films.

Spirited adapts Charles Dickens’ classic A Christmas Carol. Spirited tells the story of the Ghost of Christmas Present, who selects one “dark soul” each Christmas Eve to be visited by three ghosts.

Clint Briggs (Reynolds), this time’s choice for the cynic, “turns the tables on his ghostly host,” compelling Present to consider his history, present, and future.

For the first time, the musical adaptation of Charles Dickens’ classic “A Christmas Carol” is told from the perspective of ghosts.

Reynolds and Ferrell can be seen in silhouettes in the teaser video, which was unveiled on Wednesday, doing a difficult tap routine as part of a dancing sequence that was filmed on the streets of Boston in September 2021. Scenes filmed at the South Shore Plaza in Braintree may also be seen in the teaser.

The upcoming Apple TV+ original feature, produced by Maximum Effort and Gloria Sanchez Productions, is a holiday-themed musical comedy co-written by Sean Anders and John Morris.

Patrick Page, Sunita Mani, Loren Woods, Joe Tippett, Marlow Barkley, and Jen Tullock are also part of the musical ensemble. Though the soundtrack was created by a variety of artists, the film will also include new songs by artists such as Benj Pasek and Justin Paul.

The movie is scheduled to debut in theatres on November 11, 2022, about a month before Christmas. A week later, on November 18, it will be made accessible for streaming on Apple TV+.

Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool 3 will be released in 2024 and will be the first instalment set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In his personal life, Reynolds is expecting his fourth child with his wife, Gossip Girl star Blake Lively.
