Following last week’s Midnights pre-sale, which only a small number of people had access to if they pre-ordered Taylor’s most recent album, many Swifties had cause to celebrate after they were successful in getting tickets, giving them cause to celebrate.

However, tickets are being offered on websites like StubHub and Viagogo for hundreds, sometimes even thousands, of pounds, while devoted fans are heartbroken that they can’t beat the Ticketmaster lines.
Some standard tickets are even selling for as much as £9,000.

Tickets for Swift’s June performances at Wembley Stadium on the ticket resale website Viagogo ranged in price from £400 to £3,352 while resales for her tour dates in Edinburgh began at £171 and peaked at £3,531. A screenshot from the site showed a ticket for £6,500 being sold.

Prices for the Eras tour were already exorbitant, with standing tickets in the front row costing £172.25 and general admission standing tickets in London costing roughly £110. The hefty cost of tickets has already caused concern among fans globally.

Many of the additional fans trying to purchase tickets complained they were unable to access the Ticketmaster waiting area due to website technical difficulties.

There were also concerns regarding website failures and users not being told about having an obstructed view. Fans criticized Ticketmaster for “randomly breaking down” as they tried to complete their transactions.

The official UK Ticketmaster Twitter account said: “ATTENTION: @taylorswift13 FANS. If you’re trying to access a presale please only use one device at a time. Close down all browsers/tabs, clear cookies, and ensure you are following the correct presale link sent via email.”
