Taylor Swift appeared on stage Saturday night in Seattle, Washington, as part of her sold-out Eras Tour, belting out “This is Why We Can’t Have Nice Things.”
The song was influenced by the 2016 phone recording incident in which Kanye claimed to have informed Taylor in advance of the release of his song, “Famous,” which contained the line, “I made that bitch famous.” Taylor argued the opposite.
The pop star starts laughing as she sings the line, “Cause forgiveness is the nice thing to do.”
Taylor admits, “I can barely say it with a straight face,” since she finds the whole idea so absurdly ridiculous. She then keeps playing while the audience erupts in jubilation.

Kim Kardashian — Kanye’s wife at the time –jumped to his defense, using snake emojis to call Taylor a “snake” after Swift said she was blindsided by the lyric.
