Taylor Swift, after being honoured as Songwriter-Artist of the Decade at the Nashville Songwriter Awards, updated her fans about the upcoming album Midnights, via a TikTok video. 

Two weeks ago, the August singer revealed that her 10th studio album has 13 tracks. And now, the 32-year-old has come up with a Midnights Mayhem With Me series, which she announced on the social media platform, as a way to shed more light on the forthcoming album.

Swift began her TikTok video with – “I know I have a habit of dropping cryptic clues and Easter eggs when giving you information about new music, and I’m not here to deny that — I’m here to defy that,”. She further continued,  “Welcome to a series I’m calling Midnights Mayhem With Me. I am going to be using this technologically advanced device to help me allow fate to decide exactly what tracks titles I’m going to be announcing and in what order.”

The lottery-style cage contained balls which were marked from 1-13. While drawing the first ball out of the case, Tay Tay got her hands first on ball number ‘13’, which also happens to be her lucky number. She then said, “The first track I’m going to tell you about is Track 13, because, of course,” and then she read it out from her red phone to reveal that “Track 13 is called Mastermind”. The fans, who are eagerly waiting for the album to drop, are now waiting for more such videos to hear Swift announcing the song titles.

The album is set to be released this year on October 21. Midnights album’s covers in vinyl and CD formats are to be available for seven days on pre-order offers. The album displays a flavour of the 1970s, where 11-time Grammy winner seems to be musing in her images on the cover.
