Katrina Kaif is 39 today and has jetted off to the Maldives for a beach birthday celebration with her husband Vicky Kaushal. The two actors were spotted walking into the Mumbai airport on Friday, Katrina in a mask, Vicky without. Vicky’s brother Sunny Kaushal and his girlfroend Sharvari Wagh have also traveled with them, as have Katrina’s close friends filmmaker Kabir Khan and his wife Mini Mathur.

Katrina was dressed in an orange sweatshirt and jeans, Vicky in a green jacket and jeans. The couple held hands and waved for the cameras at the airport. In comments on an instagram video posted by photographer Viral Bhayani, fans debated Vicky’s new clean shaven look.

“Not cute without a beard,” said one. Others disagreed, saying, the actor looked great.

Katrina Kaif will be seen soon in Phone Bhoot, starring Siddhant Chaturvedi and Ishaan Khatter. Set to release on October 7 this year, Phone Booth is Katrina’s first horror-comedy film.

Katrina also stars in the third instalment of Kabir Khan’s Tiger franchise, opposite Salman Khan, who she once dated. Kabir Khan finished filming a few months ago.

In a career that spans almost two decades, Katrina Kaif has acted in over 50 Bollywood films, starting with Boom which released in 2003. Boom failed at the box office, but Katrina has since been part of many mega hits. She has been counted as an A lister for many years now, and is one of the highest paid actresses in Bollywood.

Vicky Kaushal too has several projects nearing completion, including Sam Bahadur by Meghna Gulzar, which is a biopic of Sam Manekshaw, India’s first field marshal. He also stars in Yash Raj Films’ The Great Indian Family, opposite former Miss World Manushi Chillar.

Vicky Kaushal, 34, and Katrina got married on December 9, 2021, at a private wedding ceremony in Rajasthan. Prominent on the exclusive guest list were Sharvari Wagh and Kabir Khan and Mini Mathur.
