As Vicky Kaushal made an appearance on ‘Into the Wild’ with Bear Grylls, he faced his fears head-on. However, his screen time wasn’t just limited to performing thrilling stunts. The actor did it all, from covering himself in mud to avoid mosquitoes to eating raw crab meat and diving into the Indian Ocean to get up close and personal with the sea life. Kaushal was an “incredible guest”, who gave a “satisfying wide smile” after conquering his fear, said Bear.

The Udham Singh star not only overcame his fear of diving into seawater, but he also revealed details about his personal life. He shared his childhood stories and talked about the time he lived in a 10 by 10 house. He said,  “I grew up in a house which was practically the size of a little bigger than this shack that we’ve created. A 10 by 10 house with no separate kitchen or bathroom. That’s where I was born. And from thereon it has been my family’s journey. And we’ve seen each step of the ladder, you know, as a family. And that I think makes you a very strong person in the journey.”

Kaushal further opened up about the type of woman he would like to marry amid rumours of his wedding with Katrina Kaif.  

“Whoever makes you feel at home all the time, you just know that connect. Also, where there is that understanding where you love each other for your plus and minuses both and we make each other a better version of each other,” the Uri actor said.

​​As Vicky Kaushal wrapped up his time with Bear Grylls on Into The Wild, he described the experience as “surreal”. “It was surreal and an emotional moment for me. This for me is life-changing and a significant point in my life. I am going to be a different person, an evolved person, a person who has conquered his fear by a margin. It was symbolic to just sit on the wreck of a ship in the middle of an ocean. It feels victorious,” the actor concluded.
