Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan took social media by storm as he unveiled the teaser of ‘Jawan’, an upcoming action flick directed by Tamil filmmaker Atlee.

The teaser, which is about one-and-a-half minutes long, features the 56-year-old in a bloodied and bruised avatar. The clip starts off with a voiceover that says  “Good to go chief”, to which Khan replies, “Ready.”

Uploading the teaser, the ‘Raees’ star wrote, “An action-packed 2023! Bringing Jawan to you, an explosive entertainer in cinemas 2nd June 2023. In Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada.”

‘Jawan’ will be produced by his wife, Gauri Khan.

The video has garnered over 3.9 million views and more than 36,000 comments.

Reacting to the teaser, singer-songwriter Armaan Malik wrote, “And the King is back.”

Another user said, “Blockbuster for sure.”

Earlier this year, Khan spoke about “sitting with Atlee” and discussing the trailer of Nelson Dilipkumar’s ‘Beast’.

“Sitting with Atlee, who is as big a fan of Vijay as I am. Wishing the best for Beast to the whole team…trailer looks meaner…. Leaner… stronger,” the tweet read.

Last year, a report by Indian Express quoted a source who said that ‘Jawan’ might also star Telugu actor Rana Daggubati.

“While SRK started working on the film last week, Nayanthara joined a couple of days ago. It is also being said that Telugu superstar Rana Daggubati will play the antagonist in the film and he will join the cast later,” the source had said.

Apart from ‘Jawan’, Khan is set to rule over the big screen with releases like Rajkumar Hirani’s ‘Dunki‘ and Siddharth Anand’s ‘Pathaan’.
