The Cannes Film Festival is scheduled to take place from July 6 to 17, 2021 in Cannes, France. The 74th edition of the event was originally scheduled to take place from 11 to 22 May 2020, and director Spike Lee was supposed to head the jury.
The deadline for submission of movies was March 26 and April 12 was the last date for submission of short movies. Official Selection will most likely be announced on May 27, 2021.

According to the schedule films like Wes Anderson%u2019s %u2018The French Dispatch%u2019, Leos Carax%u2019s %u2018Annette%u2019, and Paul Verhoeven%u2019s %u2018Benedetta%u2019 will premiere at Cannes 2021. These films were originally scheduled to be unveiled in Cannes 2020 but the film festival didn’t take place last year.
According to IndieWire, hat screenings will operate at 100 percent capacity, but masks will be required for all moviegoers.
