Who are Ronald Fenty and Monica Braithwaite, Rihanna’s parents?
Born in Saint Michael, Rihanna was raised in Bridgetown, Barbados. Her father’s name is Ronald Fenty and her mother is named Monica Braithwaite. When Rihanna was still a teenager, her parents got divorced and never reconciled.
According to Hello Magazine, they had three children. Rihanna has two younger brothers named Rorrey and Rajad Fenty.

Ronald Fenty struggled with drug and alcohol addiction. His substance abuse is what led to the demise of his marriage. Rihanna and her father started repairing their relationship while he was in recovery. Nowadays, she considers him the “coolest person on the planet.”
Reportedly, the pop star also bore the brunt of her father’s rage as one time, he hit her so hard that his fingerprints were visible on her face. Monica was the sole earner for her three children.

Rihanna moved to the United States at the age of 16 to pursue a career in music. Ronald taught her how to swim and to ride a bike, and she helped him sell clothes from the back of his car.
“My parents had a very abusive relationship. My dad was an abuser. He hit her on numerous accounts. I don’t want to say normal, but it wasn’t a surprise when it happened. She never went to the hospital… Domestic violence is not something that people want anybody to know,” Rihanna said, reported ABC News.
Rihanna describes her mom as one of the strongest people she knows. Her cosmetics brand, Fenty Beauty, is a love letter to her mother.
