Anna “Chickadee” Cardwell, Mama June’s daughter has been diagnosed with stage 4 adrenal carcinoma. Cardwell received her diagnosis in January after undergoing a series of tests for stomachaches, reported TMZ. The cancer was found in her liver, kidney, and lung.

Who is Anna “Chickadee” Cardwell?

Anna “Chickadee” Cardwell is the daughter of reality TV star Mama June Shannon who is 28 years old. Cardwell is a mother of two, both daughters. She shares daughters Kaitlyn, 10, and Kylee, 7, with her ex-husband Michael Cardwell. 

The 28-year-old has been trying to conceive her third child with her boyfriend Eldridge Toney but has faced difficulties due to a lack of progesterone. She and Toney wear promise rings but have expressed hesitation about getting married.

The eldest of four siblings has three half-sisters. These include the “From Hot to Not” star’s daughters, Jessica “Chubbs” Shannon, 26, Lauryn “Pumpkin” Efird, 23, Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson, 17, and Candice Dunn. 

After Cardwell received her diagnosis in January, she has reportedly undergone her first round of chemotherapy, with further treatment decisions to be made depending on her reaction. While the situation is undoubtedly difficult, Cardwell’s family members are “very hopeful” for her recovery, reported TMZ citing sources. 

June Shannon’s representative has not yet commented regarding Cardwell’s diagnosis.

Despite a strained relationship with her mother in the past, the two have recently reunited. Cardwell was seen at Efrid’s baby shower in June 2021, and more recently, at June’s Florida wedding to Justin Stroud.

It has been a tough road for Cardwell, who has previously spoken about her struggles with conception and her relationship with her mother. 

In a 2014 interview with Dr Phil, she accused Shannon of lying her entire life. However, the recent reunion suggests that the family is working to move past their differences during this challenging time.
