Behati Prinsloo, a Namibian model, is married to Maroon 5 lead singer Adam Levine. Levine, 41, recently landed in a soup after claims emerged that he had cheated on his wife. On Tuesday, the Maroon 5 frontman broke his silence on the claims and said that while he did not have an affair, he acknowledged that he had crossed the line. 

Who is Behati Prinsloo?

Born to Boet Prinsloo and Magda in Grootfontein, Namibia, Behati Prinsloo grew up speaking Afrikaans as her native language. Her career in modelling began when one day she caught the attention of a man from the industry. The incident that changed her life for the good happened when she was on a vacation in Cape Town, with her grandparents, while she was in a grocery store. The 34-year-old model is the only child of her parents and left school after Grade 9 to pursue her career n modelling.

Prinsloo debuted in the fashion industry as a Prada/Miu Miu Exclusive. From there, she was photographed for her debut ad campaign and in famous magazines including British Vogue and W. Soon, she was walking in the fashion shows for Alexander Wang, Louis Vuitton, Miu Miu, Versace, Calvin Klein, and Ralph Lauren. Until now, Prinsloo has been on the cover page of various magazines and has her ad campaigns running wild. She even designed her own swimsuit collection for Victoria’s Secret. She has also acted in some movies like The city, Letter to Haiti, and Fashion Police. 

The Victoria’s Secret Angel is also a philanthropist who does charity and contributes to protecting the black rhinoceros, a critically endangered specie native to Namibia and other countries in South Africa.

Prinsloo got married to Adam Levine in Mexico, on July 19, 2014. They live together in their Los Angeles home, with two daughters- Dusty Rose and Gio Grace. As recently revealed, she is pregnant with their third child. The Namibian model has also appeared in music videos for Animal, Wait, Lost, and Girls Like You for Maroon 5, the musical group where her husband Adam is the lead vocalist.
