Actor and comedian Joel McHale will be back behind the College GameDay desk to guest pick this week’s game between Oregon and Washington. McHale has filled this position three times already; in 2016 and 2020, he was the University of Washington’s guest picker.
McHale, who is well-known for hosting “The Soup,” played collegiate football during his time in college. He was a walk-on tight end for the Washington Huskies for two seasons, though he never saw game action. Interestingly, he played for the Rose Bowl team in 1993.
His personal life is a topic of interest as he makes headlines once more. He is married to Sarah Williams.
Who is Sarah Williams?
Sarah Williams is the spouse of Joel McHale, an American comedian, actor, TV host, and producer. Together, they have three sons and have been married since 1997.
Williams keeps most details of her private life out of the public view since she is a reserved person. She did, however, earn a journalism degree from the University of Washington and is a resident of Seattle, Washington.
Following her college graduation, Williams spent a number of years working as a journalist before deciding to raise her sons at home with McHale. Additionally, she has produced some of McHale’s works, including his comedy special Joel McHale: Live from Seattle on Netflix.
Williams is a devoted mother and wife who is frequently spotted supporting McHale at his engagements. She also speaks out often in favor of raising mental health awareness. In a 2018 interview with People magazine, she spoke up about her own battles with depression and anxiety.
She is a resolute, powerful lady who puts her family and career first. She serves as an inspiration to other women who are juggling work and personal obligations.
