On Monday, the fourth anniversary of the passing of his late wife Beth Chapman, Duane “Dog the Bounty Hunter” Chapman disclosed that he had fathered a son named Jon in secret.

Duane posted a picture of Jon standing with his arm around his wife, Jodi, on Instagram and wrote that the discovery of his son has given the day a “new meaning” after previously being a tragic one.

“For the last four years, this day was a terrible reminder of one of the greatest losses of my life,” he wrote in the caption.

“But God redeemed this day when I discovered my son Jon, who I just met recently, was born on this day.” Duane continued, “So now instead of sorrow, this day has a new meaning. This is my son Jon and his wife Jodi.”

The 70-year-old TV star said that he may talk about Jon in his upcoming biography, “Nine Lives and Counting,” which will be published in 2019. “For anyone who has suffered a terrible loss please know God restores and redeems,” he concluded. “Happy birthday son, love you both.”

The “Dog’s Most Wanted” actor now has 13 kids total from his multiple marriages and other partnerships, including Jon. After a protracted struggle with stage 2 throat cancer, Beth passed away in June 2019 at the age of 51. Duane proposed to Francie Frane only 10 months later.

In Colorado, the pair got married in September 2021 in front of their loved ones. “We appreciate the support and well-wishes as we begin our life together,” the groom told Page Six at the time.

Bonnie Chapman, however, who had publicly accused Duane of being homophobic and racist, was not present at the private celebration. “I have expressed time and time again my ever-growing disappointment in my father’s progression into his old racist ways,” Bonnie, now 24, wrote in an August 2021 Facebook post.
