Michael Lockwood was Lisa Marie Presley‘s husband from 2006 to 2016. Presley died on Thursday, January 13, from a cardiac arrest at her home in Calabasas, California. She was 54 years old.

TMZ reported that the singer-songwriter suffered a cardiac arrest earlier on Thursday following which she was rushed to a medical facility. Her first husband, Danny Keough, who was with her at her home gave her CPR while the Emergency Medical Team arrived.

TMZ also reported that EMT had to administer epinephrine on the spot to revive her pulse momentarily.

She was in critical condition throughout her stay at the hospital. Eventually, her mother Priscilla Presley announced that Lisa Marie has died from the arrest.

Who is Michael Lockwood? 

Michael Lockwood was born on May 22, 1961, in Bakersfield, California. He attended Highland High School in Bakersfield and graduated in 1979.

Although he is a music producer and guitarist, his fame lies in being married to Lisa Marie Presley. He has performed alongside artists like Aimee Mann, Fiona Apple, Carly Simon, and Bijou Phillips. He joined the music group Lions and Ghosts in 1985, but it later got disbanded in 1989 after releasing just two records.

He later founded a local power pop band called Wink. 

Presley and Lockwood had twin daughters on October 7, 2008. 

After ten years of marriage, Presley filed for divorce from Lockwood in 2016. In February 2017, Presley claimed that her girls had been placed in protective care and that she was opposing Lockwood’s request for spousal support because she had discovered hundreds of child pornographic photographs and videos on his computer. In 2021, the divorce became legally final.
