Actors Noah Galvin and Ben Platt revealed their engagement on Instagram on Friday.

They both starred as the lead characters in Dear Evan Hansen on Broadway.

Ben Platt, 29, shared the pictures from the ring ceremony and captioned, “he agreed to hang out forever.”  On the other hand, Noah Galvin, 28, also shared the same post on his official social media account and  wrote, “I said yeehaw and then cried for like 7 hours.” 

Who is Noah Galvin?

Noah Egidi Galvin is an American actor and singer. He was born on May 6, 1994, and was brought up in Katonah, New York.  His father is Catholic and of Irish and Italian descent and his mother, Abbie is a Jew.

Noah Galvin’s Career 

Noah Galvin began her career in 2013 and he has been featured in a number of films, including The Two Princes, Booksmart, Assassination Nation, and many others.

He played Kenny O’Neal on the ABC comedy The Real O’Neals, and in 2020, he has also played Dr. Asher Wolke on the series The Good Doctor.

Regarding his appearances on Broadway, Noah Galvin has worked with a variety of companies, including the Signature, Playwrights Horizons, MCC, The Vineyard, The Public, The Culture Project, The Flea, The Wild Project, the Barrow Street Theater, Rattlestick, Ensemble Studio Theater, and many others.

In 2017, Noah Galvin replaced the role of his now-boyfriend Ben Platt for the musical production of Dear Evan Hansen as Ben Platt announced his resignation from the musical in 2017 to concentrate on his personal and professional life. 

Galvin also played the title role in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, a one-night-only 50th Anniversary concert staged by Manhattan Concert Productions, at Lincoln Center.

In 2020, Galvin reprised his role as Dr. Asher Wolke in the television series The Good Doctor. 

On June 9, 2022, Noah Galvin announced that he would play the lead role in the musical comedy Theater Camp, a movie that was adapted from the same-titled 2020 short film and co-written by Ben Platt, Molly Gordon, and Nick Lieberman.

Galvin has also been the recipient of the Audiofile Magazine’s Earphones Award for narrating Hollis Seamon’s novel Somebody Up There Hates You.

Apart from the work front, Noah Galvin and Ben Platt were close friends for a long time prior to dating. After dating for four months, they made their relationship public in May 2020.
