Singer-songwriter Rihanna has officially become a billionaire, according to a report by Forbes on Wednesday.

Rihanna is a popular singer-songwriter-actor and entrepreneur. Born in Barbados, her real name is Robyn Rihanna Fenty

The singer rose to fame with her debut album Music of the Sun and later A girl like me, the music of which was inspired by her Caribbean roots. It managed to find a spot among the top ten in the US Billboard 200.

Her dance-pop reach Umbrella got Rihanna her first ever Grammy Award, making her an overnight sensation. The blend of pop, dance and R&B in her music ahead registered her on Billboard 200 number one. 

Rihanna has collaborated with biggies in the music industry, including Drake, Eminem, Kanye West, Shakira, Ne-Yo, Adam Levine and more. The singer-songwriter is now one of the best-selling music artists of all time.

Riri is also now the second-wealthiest entertainer after Oprah Winfrey. Founder of the makeup line Fenty Beauty and fashion house Fenty, her net-worth is largely attributed to the 50% shares of Fenty Beauty that she owns. The rest comes from her music career and lingerie line ‘SavagexFenty’

According to Forbes, much of Fenty Beauty’s success is owed to her diverse and inclusive product line that caters to women of colour. The makeup line was founded in collaboration with LVMH, a French luxury brand.
