Who is Sharon Mousely?

Sharon Mousley, now 48, was born to O’Grady and Diane Jansen in May 1974. O’Grady and Jansen were colleagues and they had a brief relationship.

It is known that she is married to Phillip Mousely, but the year of their marriage could not be determined. She has two teenage children, Abel and Halo.

Sarah Mousely and O’Grady were close and she appeared with him publicly on many occasions. One of the most prominent appearances was at Buckingham Palace when she, with her two children, joined O’Grady as he received the MBE in 2008 for services to entertainment.

O’Grady was also there on Mousely’s wedding day and gave the bride away in the Christian ritual.

About the wedding, the comedian had said, “It was a really great day. Sharon looked fabulous and Philip is a smashing fella. They fit together like a pan and a lid. She looked like a Disney princess.”

Furthermore, in his autobiography, The Devil Rides Out, O’Grady has described in detail how she felt at the time of Sharon’s birth.

“A smiling nurse showed me into a shiny ward where Diane lay in the middle bed of a row of three, beside which the tiny newborn babies lay in their cots,” he said, describing the visit to the hospital.

‘Nervously approaching the cot next to Diane’s bed, I felt the blood rush to my cheeks as I became conscious that the eyes of all the new mothers and nurses in the ward were on me,” he wrote.
