%u2018The Kapil Sharma Show’ fame comedian Sugandha Mishra tied the knot with boyfriend Sanket Bhosale in an intimate ceremony in Jalandhar on April 26. They exchanged wedding vows in the presence of their close friends and family while adhering to COVID-19 guidelines.

Sugandha started her career as a radio jockey followed by her singing career. She sang bhajans, and songs in many documentaries, plays, and short films.  

She rose to fame with the TV comedy show %u2018The Great Indian Laughter Challenge%u2019 as one of the participants and became a household name. Her acting debut started with the 2014 film %u2018Heropanti%u2019 as a supporting role. However, it was her talent of mimicking the popular faces that gave her instant fame.

From yesteryear actors Rakhee, Sharmila, Tagore to young actor Kangana Ranaut, she mimicked all. However, it was her mimicry of Lata Mangeshkar that attracted controversy for her.

At the 7th Royal Stag Mirchi Music Awards, the mockery on this legendary singer didn%u2019t go down well with Lata Mangeshkar%u2019s fans along with singers like Alka Yagnik and Lalit Pandit who also felt that the legendary lady was disrespected.

During this time, Sugandha told a publication that %u201Cpeople should develop a sense of humour.%u201D

%u201CI don%u2019t think I disrespected or dishonored Lataji. I adore her a lot and have grown up admiring her. A mimicry is an art form. Mimicry is no harm but If I would have sung badly, I would have been at fault,%u201D she said and added that she %u201Cwill touch her feet and take blessings%u201D if the comedian meets the legendary singer next time.
