On Monday, Selena Gomez posted a sweet note on Instagram for her “best friend”, Theresa Marie Mingus. She wrote, “To the person who makes me laugh harder than anyone on this planet. My OG girl. Thas my best friend. Love you T.” Alongside the message, she attached a string of pictures of Theresa and herself.
Who is Theresa Marie?
Selena Gomez’s best friend is Theresa Marie Mingus, who was formerly her assistant. Marie started a brand-new swimwear business called Krahs in 2019. Later, the two friends collaborated for the same company as a team.
In an interview with E! News, Theresa said, “I had just stopped working for Selena and I was trying to figure out what I wanted to do next,” Theresa explains. “[I’ve] never really had a dream job or, like, know what I want to do, but I’ve always been into fashion and I was like, ‘You know what I am always in a bikini, I am always at the beach, I am going to do bathing suits.'”

She claimed that after bringing up her prospects to Selena, who reportedly thought it was “such a good idea,” they discussed ways to launch the project with a bang. Theresa recalled Selena making the initial offer to collaborate with her at that point.
However, there were a few tiny creative discrepancies as they were designing their components together. The creative director, a.k.a. Theresa, claimed that both their tastes were very different. She said Theresa is more of a “free bird” who prefers to lie around in the nude, while Selena is the more “classy” and “conservative” one.

When the company was finally launched, Selena posted on her Instagram saying, “She is beautiful, kind, and smart. I saw how capable she was of achieving her dreams. I wanted nothing more than to see her pursue them and soar. And here you are making it happen, T. I love you and I am so proud of you.”
Theresa began working as the singer’s personal assistant in May 2014 and remained with her for more than four years, according to an unverified account of Theresa Marie on Linkedin. Before that, she collaborated with the Pussycat Dolls’ creator Robin Antin, and Kim Kardashian.
