Singer and actress Naomi Judd left a suicide note demanding that her daughter Wynonna be barred from attending her funeral, claiming she was mentally ill. The Post-it-style paper was discovered near the 76-year-body old’s in April after she shot herself at her Tennessee mansion. ‘Do not allow Wy to attend my funeral,’ it said. She has a mental illness.’ The word ‘not’ appeared to be highlighted.

Who is Wynonna Judd? 

Wynonna Ellen Judd, born Christina Claire Ciminella on May 30, 1964, is a country music singer from Ashland, Kentucky.

Her mother, Naomi Judd, had married Michael Ciminella shortly after being abandoned by Charles Jordan, her boyfriend and Judd’s biological father. Jordan died in the year 2000.

Wynonna has a total of 19 No. 1 singles, including those by The Judds, making her one of the most successful country music performers of all time in terms of sales. Wynonna is the only name given to all of her solo albums and singles. She originally became well-known in the 1980s when she and her mother, Naomi, formed the country music group The Judds. Along with 26 songs, 14 of which reached No. 1 in the charts, they also recorded seven albums on Curb Records.

In 1991, the Judds broke up, and Wynonna launched a solo career while still on Curb. In addition to To Be Loved by You, which became her fourth number one and top ten success in 1996, all three of her country singles debuted at number one in the United States in a row. The RIAA has awarded platinum or higher certification to three of her albums. Wynonna & the Big Noise, which was published on February 12, 2016, and the accompanying single Cool Ya are her most recent works. In 2020, Recollections was published. Wynonna is best known for her musical contributions, but she has also dabbled in writing, acting, and philanthropy since the early 2000s.

Wynonna was a member of The Judds when they were inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2022.

Before getting married in 1995, Wynonna and entrepreneur Arch Kelley III had a son together. Despite having another child together, they got divorced in 1998. On November 22, 2003, in Tennessee, Wynonna remarried to her former bodyguard, D. R. Roach. She filed for divorce five days after he was arrested for sexually assaulting a kid under the age of 13 on March 22, 2007. Judd and her partner Scott Cactus Moser, best known as the drummer band Highway 101, got engaged on December 24, 2011. On June 10, 2012, they got married in her Leiper’s Fork, Tennessee, residence.
