Jane Fonda, a former American actress and fashion model, on Friday revealed that she has been diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.
Fonda is the daughter of Henry Fonda who was an American film and stage actor, and Frances Ford Seymour. She has been most famously married to the founder of American cable company founder CNN, Ted Turner.

The actress is the elder child of her parents. She had a brother named Peter Fonda who was also an American actor. Her brother died in 2019 in Los Angeles, California due to lung cancer, aged 79.
Who was Frances Ford Seymour?
Frances Ford Seymour Fonda was a socialite of Canadian and American descent. She was Henry Fonda’s second wife and the mother of actors Jane Fonda and Peter Fonda.
Ford Seymour Fonda was born on April 4, 1908 in Brokville city of Eastern Ontario, Canada. According to daughter Jane Fonda, Seymour was a victim of recurring sexual abuse as a child.

She married George Tuttle Brokaw, a millionaire lawyer and sportsman, on January 10, 1931. Frances de Villers “Pan” Brokaw was their only child, who died in 2008.
On September 16, 1936, at Christ Church in New York City, Seymour married actor Henry Fonda. She met Fonda on the set of the film Wings of the Morning at Denham Studios in England. Their marriage was troubled, and they had two children, actress Jane and actor Peter.

These difficulties, according to Peter Fonda, later gave him empathy for the marital problems of actor Dennis Hopper, his co-star in the 1969 film Easy Rider.
Seymour committed suicide while a patient at Craig House, a psychiatric facility in Beacon, New York in 1950. Her suicide occurred three and a half months after Fonda requested a divorce. She was laid to rest in Ogdensburg Cemetery in Ogdensburg, New York.
