Takkar, an Indian TV actor, has died
. The actor was found hanging at her home
in Madhya Pradesh’s Indore with father and brother. Police are said to have
found a suicide note. Takkar was popular for her performance in Yeh Rishta Kya
Kehlata Hai. It was the show where she made her debut. Vaishali Takkar also
acted in Super Sisters and Manmohini 2.   

Who was Vaishali Takkar? 

Vaishali Takkar was born on July 15, 1993 in Madhya Pradesh’s Ujjain. Interested in acting from a young age, Vaishali did her graduation from Devi Ahilya University. Media reports about her say Vaishali’s favourite film was Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. 

Vaishali Takkar’s acting career began in 2015 with Indian television longest running show — Ye Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. In the show, Takkar played the role of Sanjana from 2015 to 2016. In 2016, Vaishali Takkar played the character of Vrinda in Yeh Hai Ashiqui. 

Takkar next took the role of Anjali Bharadwaj in Sasural Simar Ka for Colors TV opposite Siddharth Shivpuri and Rohan Mehra. 

It was her character in Sasural Simar Ka that made Vaishali Takkar a household name among the Indian TV viewing audience based in the Hindi heartland. Takkar received the Golden Petal Award for Best Actress in a Negative Role for her performance in Sasural Simar Ka. 

Vaishali Takkar was engaged to Kenya-based doctor Abhinandan Singh. Takkar and Singh’s engagement was part of an arranged marriage. The two had discovered each other on a matrimonial website. 

Following the roka ceremony, Vaishali Takkar had told The Times Of India: “We met on a matrimonial site and started talking. During the lockdown last year, my mom just in a fun way, jokingly made my profile and she was like let’s get you married.” 

“Arranged marriage was never on my mind. But this is happening. My mom created my profile and since during the lockdown I didn’t have the option of going out and finding the love of my life, I thought it’s fine if I find it through a matrimonial site,” she had said laughing.
