42-year-old American actor BJ Novak is a recognisable personality
across the globe thanks to his work on NBC’s sitcom The Office which ran
between 2005 and 2013.

Benjamin performed the role of Ryan Howard along with being
one of the show’s writers, executive producers and directors.

Even though the show ended nearly a decade ago, it continues
to enjoy popularity amongst the fans with new viewers discovering the
mockumentary style series every day.

Novak revealed that he quit the show before the final season
because of being ‘burnt out’. The revelation was made in a recent episode of
the Armchair Expert podcast.

The actor said that he no longer had the passion needed to
continue working on the show and just didn’t want to carry on any longer.

He even revealed his regret of not enjoying his time as a
part of the show as much as he should have because of his insecurities and
nervousness getting the better off him. Novak believes that sometimes it is just
time to put an end to something and he had that realisation about his time on
the show.

In spite of attempts made by co-creator Greg Daniels to keep
him tied to the show, Novak refused. However, quitting the show did not result
in an end of his stress and fatigue since he had to continue working on the
show ‘The Mindy Project’.

The Office revolves around the life and everyday working of
employees at the Dunder Mifflin Paper Company located in Scranton, Pennsylvania.
The show’s immense popularity can be attributed largely to Michael Scott, the
boss of the office who is played by Steve Carell.

The American was one of the first writers to be offered a job
on the show alongside Kaling and Daniels. There is no doubt that the man is amongst
the best in his business.

Novak even received an Emmy nomination for his role as
producer of The office and has previously appeared in popular films including
Inglorious Basterds and Saving Mr. Banks.
