This is not the first time that Deadpool and Wolverine will feature in a Marvel work together. They first met in the 1994 comic Wolverine #88 when Wolverine goes looking for Kane and encounters Deadpool – for the first time.
However, in the comic series Deadpool: Best There Is #1, the very first encounter between Deadpool and Wolverine takes place. At that time, Wade Wilson was still a self-obsessed 16-year-old with no clue that he would become a noisy assassin after seeking out the Weapon X program to heal his cancer.
In the comic, Wolverine crashes through the roof during Wade’s prom night while fighting Hydra soldiers. The duo gets realizes that they are cuffed together in the sequence and Wolverine has to carry Wade around as he fights off his attackers. This is the start of a friendship between the duo which would go on to become one of Marvel’s most celebrated friendships.

In spite of their friendship, there is no doubt that Deadpool did not like how they met on screen in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, which also was their first appearance together in films. The climax scene of X-Men Origins: Wolverine features Ryan Reynolds as a mercenary, but without his signature red and black suit, making it difficult for fans to remember.

The screenplay for Deadpool 3 is being written currently. Reports say that Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick are currently writing the screenplay from a script developed by Wendy Molyneux and Lizzie Molyneux-Loeglin.
