The next Deadpool movie is coming soon, and actor Ryan Reynolds, who plays Deadpool in the series, pleasantly surprised Deadpool fans on Tuesday. He released a teaser video on social media announcing that Deadpool 3 will star Hugh Jackman as X-Men character Wolverine.

The character of Wolverine is out of Marvel Cinematic Universe’s features since Logan was released in 2017.  The X-men character, played by Jackman in the series, will make a comeback in the next Deadpool movie.

In another big news for the fans, the teaser also announced that Deadpool 3 will release on September 6, 2024.

In July 2021, Jackman made an Instagram story referencing Marvel and sharing one fan art on Wolverine. The Australian actors’ story stroked rumors that he might make an MCU comeback, but there was no confirmation of it. Fans were also not sure if he was to return as Wolverine or in a new character.

The speculations built further when in July 2022, one year from the first story, Jackman posted a photo with Ryan Reynolds from the sets of Deadpool. The story gave clear indications that something is brewing with Jackman, Deadpool and Marvel.
