“Orion is a star constellation and for parents, your kid is your star. When Hazel was pregnant, and sleeping in the hospital, I was watching some episodes where the name came to me and Hazel took an instant liking to it,” Singh stated in an interview with the Hindustan Times.

“I wanted Hazel’s last name also to come in the baby’s name, so that’s how it came about,” the cricketer added.

Orion – the constellation

Orion is a Greek name usually used for a boy and means “rising in the sky” or “dawning.”  Orion was a powerful hunter and the son of Poseidon in Greek mythology before Zeus set him amongst some of the stars as the constellation of Orion. Orion is now regarded as one of the night sky’s most identifiable and luminous constellations. The name has a scientific yet mystical edge, making it an excellent choice for those who are both practical and romantic.
