China‘s districts are reporting a massive surge in fresh COVID-19 cases, which is believed to be triggered by the Delta variant of coronavirus but new reports suggest that this rise can be associated with a primary school in Fujian province.
According to BBC, the latest coronavirus outbreak in China could be due to a COVID positive father of a student in a primary school in Fujian province. The man tested positive for coronavirus last week and is said to have returned from Singapore some 38 days back.

The man had served the state-required 21 days in quarantine, during which he had taken nine nucleic acid and serologic tests, all of which were negative, noted a report in the state-run Global Times newspaper.
This has led to more than 100 cases being reported in four days in the city of Putian.
Putian, a city of 3.2 million in coastal Fujian province, ordered the testing of all residents, especially teachers and students of the primary school, on Tuesday following the reports of a potential outbreak.

China’s National Health Commission said 59 new locally transmitted cases were reported on September 13, up from 22 infections a day earlier. All of them were in Fujian.
This wave of coronavirus infections comes a month after China struggled to curb the wide outbreak in Nanjing province, the biggest since the Wuhan wave.
The Putain outbreak is said to be dangerous with a total of 102 community cases have been reported in three Fujian cities, including Xiamen, which has a population of five million.
Meanwhile, as combative measures, the schools in the Putian city have been closed and anyone leaving Putian to visit another place has to produce a negative COVID-19 test taken within the last 48 hours of the movement.
Public venues such cinemas, museums and libraries have been directed to suspend indoor activities, and restaurants were asked to limit their operating hours.
Neighbouring cities of Xiamen and Quanzhou have also reported a sudden surge in COVID cases due to which, protective measures like closure of gyms and bars have been imposed.
