The COVID-19 tally of India on Monday touched 98,84,100 after 27,071 new cases of coronavirus were recorded in the last 24 hours.  A total of 336 deaths were reported on Saturday, taking the death toll of the country to 1,43,355.

There are currently 3,52,586 active cases of coronavirus in the country.

The Indian Council of Medical Research on Monday said that  8,55,157 samples for COVID-19 were tested in the last 24 hours in India and a total of 15,45,66,990 samples for the coronavirus have been tested in the nation up to December 13.
