Carmen Hernandez, the 104-year-old woman from Colorado has made the headlines yet again. While being wheeled out of the Colombian hospital she was given a standing ovation for coming out victorious from the battle against the coronavirus for the second time.

Hernandez tested positive for the coronavirus once in June of 2020 and again on March 8. 

According to WFLA, she had to be hospitalised 21 days this time. 

However, Hernandez isn’t the only centenarian who beat the coronavirus. 

In January 10 days before Hila Brown’s 110th birthday, she recovered from her fight against coronavirus. Anna Del Priore, 108, after beating the coronavirus last year quotes,” I thank God I’m alive”.

Coronavirus hit the globe in 2019 when the first case was recorded on December 31 in Wuhan, China. 

The World Health Organization team after a month-long mission across China has confirmed that the virus probably originated in bats and was passed through an intermediate animal. 

There are currently 23,014,040 active cases worldwide with 107,913,097 recovered patients.
