June 14, 2021, marks the first death anniversary of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput. His death had sent shockwaves in not only the Hindi film industry, but the rest of the country as well. Even after a year, the cause of death of the late actor is unknown to this day.

Physics Olympiad winner at the National level

Sushant has won the Physics Olympiad at the national level. He has even passed eleven engineering entrance tests.

He dropped out of Delhi School of Engineering (now Delhi Technological University) after three years to pursue his goal of becoming an actor. In 2003, he was ranked 7th in the AIEEE or the All India Engineering Entrance Exam.

Part of Nadira Babbar’s and Shiamak Davar’s group

When Sushant was in Delhi, he was a member of Nadira Babbar’s Ekjute theatrical company and also Shiamak Davar’s dance troupe.

Sushant was named after his mother

In a past interaction, Sushant had interestingly revealed that he was named after his mother, Usha because the name Sushant comprises his mother’s name.

He was ambidextrous

Sushant was an ambidextrous individual who could write with both hands.

Sushant’s TV debut was not on ‘Pavitra Rishta’

With his role in ‘Pavitra Rishta’, Sushant became an instant sensation. However, he did not make his television debut on this show by Ekta Kapoor. He actually made his acting debut in the film ‘Kis Desh Mein Hai Dil Mera’ as Preet Juneja.

Trained at NASA

In the space movie, ‘Chanda Mama Door Ke’, Sushant was intended to portray an astronaut. He’d even gone to NASA to prepare for the job. Regrettably, the film was put on hold.
