Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who has recently returned from a three-day trip to the United States or a 65-hours trip to be precise, attended 20 in-person meetings during his stay, reported PTI, quoting government sources. In addition to that, the prime minister also had four long meetings in flights with his officials on the way to India from Washington.

Sharing further details of his schedule, sources said that the PM had two long meetings in flight on Wednesday on the way to the US and three in the hotel upon his arrival.

Then on September 23, the day he arrived in the United States, PM Modi held five back to back meetings with the top global chief executive officer. Those meetings were followed by a meeting with the US Vice President Kamala Harris at the White House after which both the leaders addressed the press as well.

On the same day, Modi held bilateral interactions with his Japanese and Australian counterparts Yoshihide Suga and Scott Morrison respectively. He also chaired three internal meetings. 

The next day on September 24, Modi held a detailed talk with US President Joe Biden, the first after the latter assumed office. After his interaction, Modi attended the first in-person Quad Summit along with Biden, Suga and Morrison. 

According to PTI, PM Modi also held four internal meetings on September 24. 

On September 25, after a series of meetings in Washington, Prime Minister Narendra Modi flew to New York to address the 76th United Nations General Assembly. 

After his address, the prime minister left for India from the US on the same day and held two meetings on the flight back, sources said.

Then after coming back to India, PM Modi on Sunday delivered his first address to the nation after the US tour in his monthly radio programme ‘Mann Ki Baat’. In his address, Modi talked about using Khadi products as a tribute to Mahatma Gandhi, COVID-19 pandemic and rivers.
