Alleppy/Venice
Kerela’s Alleppey is known as the Venice of the East. It is known for its scenic canals, stretches of emerald backwaters, beaches and lagoons.
The maze-like waterways surrounded by paddy fields, coconut trees, and green foliage is the single-most beautiful experience in India. Alleppy looks similar to Venice but is a lot more beautiful.

Khajjiar/Switzerland
Khajjiar is located in the Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh. It is fondly called the ‘Switzerland of Himachal Pradesh,’ because of its striking resemblance to Switzerland’s topography. A charming town in the lap of the Himalayas, at 2000 meters above sea level it is the destination where the British chose to vacation back in the day.

Lake-town clock tower/London
The Lake Town clock tower is designed after London’s iconic clock tower. Like the original Big Ben, the Kolkata clock tower also has four giant clocks facing the cardinal directions. It has been built by the local municipal body as a part of the drive to beautify the city. Come to Lake Town in Kolkata if you want to get a glimpse of Big Ben.

Kolli Hills/Transylvania
The winding roads in the forests of Tamil Nadu’s Kolli Hills will remind you of the astonishing forested areas of Transylvania in Romania. The small mountain range located in Western Tamil Nadu is a pilgrimage site because of the Arapaleeswarar temple. It is also popular among motorcycle riders because of the high altitude motorable terrain with 70 hairpin bends.

India Gate/Arc De Triomphe Paris
India Gate is one of the most important national monuments of India, it houses the famous Amar Jawan Jyoti, the flame which stays alight 24X7, in memory of the martyrs of the 1971 Indo-Pak War. The architectural pattern of this war memorial resembles The Arc de Triomphe of Paris, which is a memorial of French revolutionary and Napoleonic wars.

Gulmarg/Alps
The Alps is the favorite honeymoon spot for married couples in Switzerland, but why go somewhere far when there is even more beautiful scenery at Gulmarg, Jammu and Kashmir. The beautiful mountains covered with snow and frozen lakes are the beauty of both the Swiss Alps and Gulmarg. Known as the “Meadow of Flowers”, it boasts of the world’s highest golf course.

Srinagar Tulip Garden/Amsterdam
Rows of beautiful tulips at the Tulip Garden of Srinagar look similar to the gardens in Amsterdam. More than 70 varieties of tulips bloom here every year. Spread over 12 hectares, the Srinagar Tulip Garden is perfectly lined with rows of tulips in every color you could imagine. The government of Kashmir opened it for tourists in 2007.
