Pakistan sealed their maiden win against India in World Cups
on Sunday. Skipper Babar Azam scored the winning runs to sign off the victory. He
made a significant contribution of 68 runs off 52 balls during his team’s chase
landing another milestone innings in his T20 career.

Here are some of the best innings of Babar Azam in the T20 format.

122 vs South Africa (14th April 2021)

Azam smashed 15 boundaries and four sixes on his route to
his first T20I century in only 49 balls. Seven runs short of the mark, he was
dismissed. Pakistan chased down 204 with the aid of Azam’s effort, winning the
third T20I at Centurion by nine wickets.

97* vs Karachi (2nd April 2018)

In the second T20I against West Indies in Karachi, Babar
Azam hit an unbeaten 97 off 48 balls. He was denied a century in front of his
home crowd. When Pakistan’s final over began, he was on 89 runs, but just
eight runs came off the five balls he faced from Kesrick Williams.

90 vs South Africa (3rd February 2019)

During the game, Babar Azam hit a 90 in a massive
partnership with Hussain Talat. It was his second-highest score for Pakistan in
T20Is until then, and the highest score by a Pakistan batsman against South
Africa in T20Is, surpassing Mohammad Hafeez’s 86 in Centurion in 2013.

86 vs World XI (12th September 2017)

Babar put on a 122-run combination with Ahmed Shahzad
after opener Fakhar Zaman was dismissed in the opening over. Babar hit 10 fours
and two sixes, with the highlight being trademark pull off Morne
Morkel through square leg.

68* vs India (24th October 2021)

Azam’s innings came off 52 deliveries with six fours and two
sixes. He notched up the highest partnership for Pakistan against India for any
wicket in T20Is. The previous best partnership for the fourth wicket was 106 by
Mohammad Hafeez and Shoaib Malik in 2012.
