One month before the Punjab elections, on Sunday, the opposition Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) launched its state musical song, which, like its campaign in the state, focuses on Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.

‘Kejriwal hai,’ a three-minute film, aims to present an image of the AAP leader as a normal guy, as he walks through a railway station with his own briefcase. It appears to be an attempt to contrast it with the state’s VIP culture. Surprisingly, Chief Minister Channi has worked hard to establish the image as an approachable leader.

The Punjabi beats accompany the lyrics, which show Kejriwal as someone who can put an end to people’s problems and offer smiles to the teary-eyed.

Punjab has been destroyed by a few families and ‘qaum’ traitors, the songs say, as AAP takes aim at its political opponents. Young people in green and yellow mustard fields are dancing to the music.

The party finally seeks a chance to create a government in the state in the video.

“THE WAIT IS FINALLY OVER! Kejriwal Anthem for Punjab elections is here,” the Twitter handle of the Aam Aadmi Party exclaimed.

Kejriwal has played a key role in the Punjab campaign, serving as the face of the party’s promises in the state. The AAP has made a number of promises, including financial assistance to women in the state. All of these promises, dubbed “Kejriwal’s guarantees,” have been made in the name of Kejriwal.

Even though there has been much conjecture about who would be the chief minister of Punjab if AAP is elected, the party has yet to make an official announcement. Many people believe Bhagwant Mann, one of the senior leaders and a strong contender for the job, is a viable option.

There has also been talk that a well-known farmer leader would join the party and become its chief minister. In terms of the campaign, though, it has been Kejriwal who has driven the party’s push for power in the north Indian state.
