As Virat Kohli smashed Bangladesh repeatedly at Adelaide Oval in India’s fourth T20 World Cup 2022 Super 12 match on Wednesday, November 2, he had a heated moment with Shakib Al Hasan on the pitch. The 33-year-old was caught into a heated exchange with Bangladesh captain Shakib, when the former asked the umpire for a no ball.
However, the umpire obliged to Kohli’s request and agreed to a no ball subsequently. Soon after, the former India captain went on to score his third half-century of the ongoing T20 World Cup 2022 in 38 balls, with a strike rate of 131.58.

The incident took place in the 16th over when Hasan Mahmud delivered a controlled pull, which then bounced to the deep square. The umpire called for the second bouncer of the over and Kohli was seen requesting the square leg umpire for a no-ball because of the height as he was taking the run.
Bangladesh captain Shakib Al Hasan looked to be protesting Kohli’s suggestion as they almost collided accidentally. The duo then exchanged some words on the pitch before going on to their respective zones.
The former India captain scored his third half-century of the T20 World Cup 2022 in the very next over when he hit Shoriful Islam for two runs. He remained undefeated on the crease for 64 runs off 44 balls with a strike rate of 145.45. Kohli also hit eight boundaries and one maximum to score the half-century.
